The word amaranth

Amaranth means a flower which never dries. My father's friend asked for the Bengali word for amaranth. My mother seached in the dictionary and the Bengali word happens to be 'parijat'.

ah... didn't know they were the same thing.

Combined with the nature photographs and the talk of Kobiguru, it reminds me of "ChNader haashir baadh bhengechhe", which my mother used to sing as a lullaby.
